Believe In Youself
There was a story about Mr Chong who sold balloons. Hours had passed at the fair and Mr Chong had only sold four balloons. Hoping to improve his sales, he released a balloon into the air so that the multitude of children around would see it and press their parents to buy them one. The plan worked. He continued this process all day and saw his sales go up. Then, he felt a light tug at his sweat-soaked shirt. He looked down to find a little boy who asked, "Uncle, you have so many brightly coloured balloons. But if you release a black balloon, would it also float into the sky?" Touched by the boy's innocence, Mr Chong replied, "It is not the colour of the balloon that matters but what's inside that makes it soar to the skies."
I hope the following story will convince you that nothing is impossible if you believe you can do it.
Once Upon a Time......
Once, there was a family that was neither rich nor poor, They lived in a small country house. One night there was a knock at the door as they all set down for dinner. The father went to the door and open it.
There stood a man in tattered clothes, with ripped pants and missing buttons. He was carrying a basket full of vegetables and asked the family if they wanted to buy some vegetables from him. They quickly did because they wanted him to leave.
Over time, the family and the old man became friends. The man brought vegetables to the family every week. They soon find out that he was almost blind and had cataracts on his eyes. But he was so friendly that they learned to look forward to his visits and started to enjoy his company.
One day as he was delivering the vegetables, he said, "I had the greatest blessing yesterday! I found a basket of clothes outside my house that someone has left for me."
The family, knowing that he needed new clothes, said, "How wonderful!"
The old blind man said, "The most wonderful part is that I found a family that really needed new clothes."
